We share our research projects for older adults led by Dr. Kate Hyun from Civil Engineering and Dr. Lee from Social Work at the University of Texas at Arlington.
Senior Fit - This study is funded by the Communities Foundation of Texas Caruth Jr. Fund. The purpose of this study is to see the effect of the Senior Fit app on older adults’ physical health and well-being. The app is designed to help older adults stay active indoor.
Healthy Brain - This NIH-funded research project is looking for study participants age 55 and older. The purpose of this study is to test the non-invasive and portable machines to detect digital biomarkers of Alzheimer’s disease.
Driven by Safety & Mobility - This project supports older adults’ mobility decision-making using a safe simulation experiment. This project will evaluate driving performances and provide safety scores as a supportive tool for older adults to self-evaluate their driving efficacy.
If you are interested in participating in any of these studies or have questions, please feel free to contact Dr. Kathy Lee at 314-971-7258 or by email to Kathy.lee@uta.edu. Thank you very much!
